Big Night in the McCulloch House

Yes, dear friends and family, blogging has come to this...

Katie went poopoo in the potty for the first time tonight!

It was really unexpected. As she was getting ready to take a bath tonight, she looked me in the eye and announced, "I poopoo" and proceeded to walk over to her potty chair and actually do what she said she was going to do! Adam and I went crazy with wild praise, of course. Our little girl is growing up.

And for my single and/or childless friends who think I'm nuts for writing a post about this....just you wait. You'll get it one day. :)

Great job Katie Bug!!

Yes, I remember the day when Mary did not talk about poop or the consistency of it!! I will never forget thinking I had lost my friend Mary forever... It was shortly after Katie was born (I was childless at the time) and I was walking through a store talking with Mary on my cell phone. In the midst of our conversation Mary began telling me about how different William's poop was compared to Katie's poop. I thought, who is this person & what has she done with my friend Mary??

But now I get excited when my son runs to the bathroom and says, "peepee mommy!" Oh the fun of being a mommy!

Mary, I too remember when life wasn't full of headline-worthy moments like these. Just wait til you have two - double the fun!!

It's been a while. I hope you and Adam are doing well. We think of you two often, since Ethan has recently developed a fetish for looking through our old photo albums.
Shalom,
David

Well, my Katie, you are a big girl. Gramommy must find a potty chair your size before you come TOMORROW! WOW! I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU. Tell Mommy that I still have an "Oh no!" mess but soon, you can help me clean it up as we move from Gramommy's house. I pray there is no confusion in who is gramommy. Pray.
Be safe and I will pick you up at airport. Call me in the a.m. love me
